Popular today in many places, and having varied origins, henna has become a sacred way of placing symbols and ritual designs on the body to heal an issue or aid in transition, and also simply for decorative use.

The all natural paste used to paint on the skin is a combination of plants, herbs, lemon juice and essential oils. It is allowed to stay on the skin and dry, absorbing, and stains, then should be left for at least 2 hours. After being gently rinsed off, the stain remains for 2-3 weeks, varying some from person to person.

There are many designs to choose from or creating one of personal meaning is especially fun.
